BSW Intern Lily Morrighan:

Hello Everyone!

I can’t believe we are at the end of the semester, it feels in some ways that not too long ago that it was September and we were all just meeting. We have had to be creative and embrace what it means to be a resilient social work! I want to thank you all for the hours you have spent on zoom opening up about yourselves and sharing. Even though this is the end of my internship, I am preparing to embark on a journey that is a dream come true for me, building a career based on the goal of equity. As Oprah says, I am embracing my true authentic power by aligning my personality with my purpose. I think I will lead a life well lived.

Thank you all again for such a great internship!
BSW Intern Sukhpreet Grewal:

Hello everyone!

As my time here is ending at Hope Club I want everyone to know how grateful I am for the experience and meeting every single member. I can truthfully say that every single member taught me something from life to simply being grateful. Although my experience was not the ideal in person experience, we all learned and adapted together to still be able to connect with one another via zoom. I will forever remember my time at Hope Club as a time of learning, loving and spreading hope to everyone around me.

Group Updates!

Tonight will be our last night of Hopeful Cooking, join us at 6pm on Zoom to share dinner one more time!

Gearing Up for More Goodbyes

Clare Bardsley

Hello everyone!

As many of you know, my time with the HopeClub is coming to an end. Pretty soon, I will be graduating with my MSW (YAY!) and will be moving into the next chapter of my life. My goal is to continue my social work practice in the oncology field – I hope to provide as much support as I can to fighters, survivors, and families alike. As an oncology social worker, I will strive to keep the quality of life for those I work with at the center of my practice.

To be a part of the HopeClub community is one of the best experiences that I am lucky enough to have thus far in my life. Every member that I have interacted with has not only happily welcomed me, but has also taught me so much about perseverance, hope, dignity, and what it means to be strong. Before joining the HopeClub, my own definition of the word “hope” was limited to my own personal experiences. After having the honor to hear your stories, I am able to leave this experience with such a compound idea of what being hopeful means.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such personal stories, experiences, and emotions – you have all taught me so much and have allowed me such incredible insight about what it means to have hope.

I wish you all the best!!!
